Gayathri Shastry is an Indian actress, who is working in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi film & television industry. She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Gayathri made her acting debut in the Tamil film “Paasamalargal” along with Revathi, directed by Suresh Chandra Menon.

Gayatri Bhargavi is a well-known Telugu TV anchor-turned actress, VJ, model, and a TV presenter. Gayatri was born in Hyderabad, formerly part of Andhra Pradesh, in 1984. She studied at St. Annes Public School and graduated with a B.

Com degree in Bhadruka Degree College in Hyderabad, India. Gayatri is the granddaughter of Bapu, the well-known writer and legendary director. When Gayatri was 21 years old, she married Major Vikram, an army official and had been blessed with a son whom she named, Akshith. Gayatri started her journey as an anchor in Aata Kaavala, Paata Kaavala on Gemini TV. From there on, her performances became well recognized and appreciated by all. Subsequently, she anchored shows including, Abhiruchi on ETV channel and Maa Voori Vanta on MAA TV.

Being an anchor, Gayatri was given the opportunity to interview some of the most famous superstars such as, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao,,, Srihari, and Balakrishna and so on. In 2012, she was in the Telugu thriller film, “”; she also played the role of “Swapna” in Telugu’s action-romance film, “Prema Kavali” in 2011 and acted in Telugu’s comedy-drama film, “”. She has also done some dubbing work on National Geographic show and Animal Planet.

Gayatri prefers to do movies, but she doesn’t want to be offered roles that would make her look older. She believes that television actresses are limited to motherly and elderly roles and therefore there is no scope for them to go beyond that image.

In her leisure time, Gayatri enjoys watching movies and reading books.
